Scam Alert: Blue Whale Publishing

Innocent people everywhere get scammed every day. I happen to be one of them. I thought that the scammed were oblivious and probably lacked common knowledge. If It happened to be, it will probably happen to you.

Last Friday afternoon I got a call from a random number. Since it wasn't blocked, I answered anyway. The girl named "Jennifer" gave me some great news. I won a $1000 dollar online shopping spree. after hearing this I let her tell me whatever. I didn't care. I won $1000 dollars. She knew my first name and my cell. I figured it was real. They even knew my new address. But, there was a catch. I'd have to subscribe to some magazines. It was only 40 for me since I got a "student discount". Then she gave me a confirmation number: 1221. Then she said I'd get a call back.

One hour later I got a call from "Nathan". Nathan wanted me to pay with my card on the phone. I went ahead because lots of places have you pay by phone. Look at all the stuff thats sold to us on tv. he even knew the first number on my card. Then he asked for my 3 digit security code on the back. I didn't care. I was already ready to shop it up on the net. While Nathan was doing this he was hitting on me. He said he wanted me to come to Tampa and buy me a drink. He said if something went wrong he'd clean our house. I should have been worried. But, I guess he's gonna have to do a lot of scrubbing when I get a hold of that jerk. He's also going to have to buy me a little more than a drink.

As soon as I got of the phone I had a weird feeling. They called me again! When my mom got home I told her the news. She wasn't thrilled. She told me to check my account. The money was gone. I google the company. It's a scam according to every site that came up. The same thing happened to everyone else.

I closed my account and ordered a new card. I told my friend about it and apparently her boyfriend got a call from the same people. The said he'd get a diamond ring.

Here's there number if they contact you...

This exact thing happened to me. Since learning that this is a scam, I have called my credit card company and told them about the scam and they will not hold me responsible for any transaction that occur from BWPMAGS, but my other concern is if there are any legal implications or credit history problems that may arise from this. I was totally suckered in and really did not understand the whole thing. there was someone telling what to say as I was being asked questions. Thanks for your information.

The same thing happened to me this morning . They offered a $300 dollar gas card and a $1000.00 shopping spree. I canceled my debit card. I didnt even get a call back number, just a tracking number for "VISA protection" whatever that is. I had an awful feeling when I hung up. The guy Justin Harris was kind of chuckling when we he hung up and that is what made me think "oh my god I got ripped off"

they have been trying to call me from 954-229-1079 and since I don't usually answer numbers I don't know, I didn't answer it. I searched the number today and found it belongs to Blue Whale Publishing and then searched the company and found this website. Thanks for the info about what was going on..Appreciate it greatly.

I got a call from 9547825563 today. The first time I was told I had won 1000.00 shopping spree. Got really excited. The guy said no credit card info was needed so sweet. Then his "supervisor" called right after & asked for credit card info for security purposes. If it's a $1000.00 card for me when they have my info why would they need a credit card for a security check. When I started hesitating the guy hung up.
